FBC COVID-19 Information

FBC – COVID-19 Guidance (September 2021)

Worship services are exempt from both the provincial mask mandate that requires mask use in indoor public spaces and the requirement to provide proof of immunization against COVID-19 to access in-person worship services. This includes events which have a worship component, such as youth groups and pastor meetings or essential services like NA/AA & Divorce Care group meetings, warming and cooling centres, or providing food to people in need, that are also exempt from the mask mandate and proof of vaccination requirement.

See the guidance document link for detailed information:

What does this mean for FBC?

This means that most gatherings at FBC are exempt from the mask or vaccination passport requirements.  However, we also hold creating safe places at FBC as one of our high values. Therefore, each ministry team will create specific recommendations on mask use at FBC.  Please contact the ministry leader for specific use of mask and vaccination requirements.  We use Philippians 2:3-4 as our guiding principle.

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,
not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others
.

Positive Prevention practices.

Online Options: We seek to host most events in person and online, so please stay home if you’re not feeling well, and see our website for ways to connect

Wash hands frequently: We are fully loaded with soap and hand sanitizing stations

Mask Use: We do encourage use of masks (see specific ministry leaders for details) as we mingle together. We understand and respect the various strategies people have with mask use but lean to making people feel comfortable by giving respectful space with or without masks.
